Linda McAllister

Senior Occupational Therapist- Practice Owner 

Perth - northern suburbs 


 Linda McAllister has over 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist and has worked in hospitals, community health and rehabilitation settings both in rural areas,  Perth and overseas.  


Linda's main area of practice with with adults of all ages with cognitive and mental health conditions. She has a particular interest in working with individuals with dual diagnoses/ complex presentations and those with forensic backgrounds.  


Linda also has experience in case management, work rehabilitation and as an Occupational Therapy Expert Witness for medicolegal cases. 


Linda enjoys working with people to help them live the life they want to live. She has a family member with an acquired brain injury and understands the challenges that families experience after traumatic and life changing events.


Linda is also an occupational therapy volunteer for the WA charity, Wheelchairs for Kids, and has run many courses overseas to train organisations in assembling and fitting the donated “adjusta- wheelchairs” for children within their communities.

Linda has a strong interest in wellbeing and living a balanced lifestyle. When not at work, you will find her actively immersed in nature, either gardening,  swimming or walking along the beach, or cycling along the river cycle paths.

Brooke graduated from the University of Western Sydney in 2013. Since then, she has had diverse roles in paediatrics specializing in sensory processing working with children with autism spectrum disorder and child, adolescent, and adult mental health (inpatient and community). 


She enjoys the flexibility of the Occupational Therapy role in helping people. She is passionate about relationship-based therapy, understanding client functioning, support, and cognition to work together to create a meaningful life. 


She is recovery-oriented and works holistically with the client to reach their goals in any aspect they consider important, such as skill development of daily living skills, employment, emotional regulation, social skills and anxiety management. 


She specialises in the field of Developmental disability and Mental Health Disorders, working with people with a range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression, Bipolar Affective Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. 

She is trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). 


When not working, you will find her outdoors with family, enjoying an active lifestyle of Pilates, salsa dancing and ocean swims all year round.

Rosie has always wanted to work in the healthcare industry. She initially studied pharmacy, however was drawn to the flexibility and creativity of Occupational Therapy. She graduated from Curtin University in 2007.


Rosie has had a diverse occupational therapy career, working in community home visiting, occupational therapy driving assessments, hospital inpatients, emergency medicine and hand therapy. She is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for all her clients and their families.


Rosie has a keen interest in supporting people with neuro-diverse conditions, dementia and neurological disorders. This stems from personal experiences with friends and family members. 


She is also a trained Parkinsons Disease Dance teacher.


When not working, Rosie enjoys baking and spending time with her family and friends. She loves animals and any style of dancing.

Children and Young Adults

  

Kahlia is an Occupational Therapist with 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents and young adults across a variety of settings including homes, schools and daycares. 

She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and has a particular interest in working with Autistic and ADHD children and teens, as well as individuals with developmental coordination disorder, dysgraphia and hypermobility.


Kahlia takes a neurodiversity-affirming, holistic and family-centred approach to therapy, working collaboratively with children and their families to support meaningful participation in everyday life. 


She enjoys helping clients build confidence and independence in areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, executive functioning, daily living skills, handwriting, fine and gross motor development, and navigating transitions including starting high school and transitioning into adulthood.


Kahlia values creating strong therapeutic relationships and tailoring therapy to each individual’s strengths, interests and goals. She strives to make sessions engaging, supportive and practical for both children and families.


Outside of work, Kahlia enjoys spending time with her son and making the most of quality time outdoors with family and friends.
